This Privacy Policy explains how MaxList collects, uses and stores information when you visit the website, create an advertiser account, submit an advertisement or contact us.

Information submitted by advertisers

We may collect an account email address, username, public phone number, public email address, website address, listing content, photographs, location, category selections and other information entered in an advertisement. Information identified as public is published on the website and may be indexed by search engines.

Photographs uploaded after the introduction of MaxList’s metadata protection are processed to remove location and device metadata before storage. Advertisers must still avoid submitting photographs or text containing information they do not want made public.

Technical information

Our servers may record IP addresses, browser information, device information, referring pages, access times, errors and security events. We may use cookies or similar technology for login sessions, website preferences, security, analytics and advertising.

How information is used

Information may be used to operate the directory, publish and manage advertisements, protect accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, answer legitimate requests, improve the website, measure traffic and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers and legal disclosure

Hosting, email, analytics, security and other service providers may process limited information while providing services to MaxList. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the website or its users, or to investigate fraud, abuse or security threats.

Retention and removal

Account, listing, security and transaction records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for website operations, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal compliance. Public listings may remain visible until they expire or are removed. Search engines and third-party archives may retain copies outside our control.
